David Rawls is running in the Republican Primary on May 27th against Idaho State Rep. Phil Hart, R-Athol. David Rawls is a former Superintendent of Schools for the CdA School District and recently married Hazel Bauman, now Assist. Superintendent to Harry Amend. Hazel will be Superintendent when Harry retires next year.

Mayor Sandi Bloem will attend the Mayor’s Institute on City Design Western Region session next month in Portland, where she will present the Education Corridor Master Plan for Coeur d’Alene. “The opportunity to present a project and have it critiqued by a group with this kind of knowledge is a rare opportunity,” Bloem said.

Dave Patzer, LCDC Board Commissioner, spoke up at this week’s meeting to voice his frustration with the Urban Renewal Agency being the bucket of money for every city group in need of funds. Kudos to him for being a stand-up guy.
