I plan on bringing a chair. Then I can rest my legs while listening to the entertainment and speakers.
I recommend that anyone who has trouble standing for a length of time do the same.
SEE YOU THERE!

I should add that Freedom is never really won. It is an instinct or desire inherent in mankind but is constantly under attack and must be defended daily. But today's "Silent Majority" may be speaking a different definition of Freedom. Being nurtured by current reliance on government bailouts, handouts, takeovers and control, freedom for many may result loving your government too much. I love my freedom but where is my stimulus check?

Good theme for the tea party, "The Silent Majority Speaks". Some of you may recall the moniker, "Silent Majority" had its origins during the political scene during the early 70's. When I ran for the legislature in 1972, I had a billboard donated to me from Bob Templin for use during the campaign. It was on Hyway 95 right near the Pegasus Auto Parts yard. It even had lights on during the night. My son Greg and I put together some plywood panels and hoisted them up for display. I have a photo of the finished sign, Greg on the left, me on the right, pointing with pride to the message. It was "THE SILENT MAJORITY SPEAKS." As good a message now as it was then, except after 37 years apparently no one has been listening. The political scene is worse now than then!

Wallypog,

Nice idea, but it's up to the hosts to decide who will be allowed to set up booths or tables or anything like that, isn't it? It's their event.

Mary, Dan and Bill.... If possible could you have a location at this gathering where people who have not met you can do so? Put up a big "Open CdA" sign with balloons or some such deal.

It looks as if the Supreme Court is beginning to pay attention. Maybe the Court will remind the President that writing and enacting law is the Congress's job, not his. Not that he is interested in obeying the US Constitution or federal law...

The moment is here: Tea Party II is happening on June 12th — this coming Friday evening from 5:30 - 8:30pm at Q’Emilin Park in Post Falls.

I hope there is a good turnout and hey, maybe Marys tormentor will show up again! ;-)

Anyway, why not have a lil'ship throw bags/boxes of tea into the Spokane River and let it float down the river a-ways.
