Dangerous Doctor Dilemma

Our oldest son will graduate from medical school in two months. His graduation will be just a milestone, albeit an important one, on a long journey of dedication to his field. Now, after 8 years of college and med school, he will spend the next 5 years in an Ear, Nose and Throat residency program in the Midwest.

Dave called us last night and he is concerned.  He’s worried about the impact the Obama health care bill will have on doctors’ professional freedom and the quality of care in our country.  (more…)

Filed under: Probable Cause — Bill @ 11:17 am

As promised, here is Judge Mitchell’s decision on the defendants’ motion for summary judgment in the lawsuit against NIC and its Foundation.  Because of the size of the file, I had to scan it in two parts:  Part 1 and Part 2.

NIC Lawsuit Report

Filed under: Probable Cause — Bill @ 12:52 pm

Some of you may have seen Maureen Dolan’s article headlined NIC:  Judge dismisses lawsuit in this morning’s Coeur d’Alene Press. Larry Spencer, Tom Macy, and I are the plaintiffs in this lawsuit filed October 27, 2009.  Although the Court obviously provided the ruling to the defendants, we were not notified about the judgment nor have we yet received a copy of the judge’s ruling.  We learned about the decision the same way most others did,  the newspaper article.  Neither were Larry, Tom, nor I contacted for comment before the Press ran the story.

When and if we receive the judge’s ruling in writing, I will scan and post it in its entirety on OpenCdA.com.  We can’t comment until we know what the judge said.

LCDC Tell-All Info is HERE

Filed under: General — mary @ 12:44 pm

If you’ve been wanting details about LCDC’s projects and expenditures over the years, we’ve just posted their spread sheet of information.  It’s here on OpenCdA, just click on “Documents & Reports” in the upper right hand corner of this front page, just under the “Register” button.  That will take you to several reports.  The last one on the list is the LCDC project spread sheet from July 2009, and gives loads of details.  Ok, it might not be everything you want to know, but it’s a start. Have fun!

More Questions Than Answers

Filed under: Probable Cause — Bill @ 6:36 pm

KREM TV Channel 2 reporter John Langeler’s first story about Jim Brannon’s lawsuit contesting the November 3, 2009, Coeur d’Alene City election left many voters with more questions than answers.  The lawsuit is still in First District Court Judge Benjamin Simpson’s courtroom.  In spite of ongoing efforts by the City of Coeur d’Alene, Kootenai County Clerk Dan English, and Kootenai County Prosecutor Barry McHugh to obstruct Brannon’s and his attorney’s access to evidence, critical information is beginning to ooze out through the cracks in the city and county’s rapidly deteriorating armor.   (more…)
