For those of you who missed it, here are a few photos from the 16h Annual Coeur d’Alene Powersports Chili Cookoff & Children’s Village Benefit.

Nice people.  Great chili.  Great cause!

The event was in the parking lot outside Coeur d’Alene Powersports.

Audio was provided by Brian Wojnar from Generations Entertainment

First year for St. Joe Blazin’ Saddles Chili!

Apparently the young lady on the right just tasted the really hot Just Chili.

Apparently the Backdraft Chili required putting the wet stuff on the red stuff.

Gas Monkey chili. Aptly named?

VooDoo Chili — Cast its spell over the judges?

And speaking of the judges, here’s Coeur d’Alene Powersports Rita Sims-Snyder distributing the next contestant’s chili to the judges.

Pak Rat Racing was there — for a quick getaway in case the judges’ decisions were disputed.

Kathy’s happy — The people were nice, the chili was good, and the event went well.

Couldn’t find it this year? Next year just look for the blimp high over Coeur d’Alene Powersports on Seltice in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

  1. I must have missed you. I was there about noonish. Still waiting to see whether I won the raffle…

  2. Dan,

We got there about 2 p.m. According to several still there, most of the crowd had gone. The judges were still judging. Everyone I spoke with talked about how nice everyone else was. A lot of my photos didn’t get put up, but all the folks who pulled this together again and those who participated should get a big pat on the back. Hopefully Children’s Village will be the biggest beneficiaries.

  3. What a good cause, I’m disappointed I missed this. I never seem to find out about events until after they’ve happened. How can people know when events are happening?

  4. Fiftysmtg,

There is no one place where people can look up all the various events in the community. Different event sponsors have different ways of promoting their events. The variety of events (charitable, commercial, political, social, self-help, etc.) make one-stop shopping next to impossible.
