2010 Max Dalton Open Government Award

This is from Gary Ingram:

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2010 Max Dalton Open Government Award. For details about the award and how to submit nominations see the web site: www.idnewsfound.org and follow the links. The Idaho Newspaper Foundation is the sponsor but due to the current economic crisis the INF is not placing newspaper ads with a “call for nominations” as has been the practice in the past. So those of us who are past winners and on the selection committee have been asked to get the word out. So as the recipient of the 2009 Max Dalton Award, I am making this announcement on this forum.

Also, because of budget constraints, there will no cash award this year, but there will still be the fine art piece designed by Alan Giltzow of Donnelly, Idaho. Be sure to see link on the INF website about this one of kind original work. Each year it is a different creation.

All nominations must be submitted by March 12. A panel consisting of 11 previous winners and 5 founding members comprise the selection committee who will choose the recipient and make the announcement on April 1. The award will be presented at a luncheon at The Boiler Room Bardenay, Boise on Saturday April 17, 2010.
