At Your Own Peril

Filed under: General — Dan @ 12:17 pm

Dear Honorable Marcus Licinius Crassus,

We were initially alarmed by the success of the small band of rebel slaves, led by one “Spartacus,” over our praetorian guard. This insignificant rabble will soon be put down once and for all, thanks to our efforts. After all, how could such a disorganized group of malcontents stand ground to not one but two of Rome’s most glorious legions?

The Divine Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus,

Great Caesar, I’m happy to report that the small cult known as “Christians” is about to be utterly removed from both the presence and memory of Rome. They are but insignificant in numbers. I can count only two or three leaders. The rest are fickle and will doubtless flee in terror when they witness the fist of Rome. Soon their wont to tear the fabric of our community will be over.

Beloved Bishop Cauchon,

This peasant girl, this Joan, isn’t worth your time. She is insane. She will accomplish nothing. Get rid of her.

His Royal Highness George William Frederick

Concern yourself not with the tiny rabble agitating the colonies. I must note, that the core of this group seem to be perhaps fifteen to twenty, angry, bigger, upper class elites that only care about themselves. Boosting our military presence in America should be sufficient enough to make them cower and run.

The Zulu will soon learn not to cross the greatest army of the world.

A couple of pissed-off, dope-smoking hippies are not going to thwart the war efforts in Southeast Asia.

Who the hell are Woodward and Bernstein? Put the story on page 6.

  2. It doesn’t get better than this post! Sadly, those to whom it is aimed, aren’t evolved enough to “get it”. Thank you Dan, great way to start my day!! “too cool” in the vernacular of today.
