Hiding Incompetence Behind Authority

Ask the President or any member of the House or Senate to define “secure borders,” and we learn very quickly that the only word President Trump seems to know is “wall.”  The members of the House and Senate only know “technology” and “Border Patrol Agents.”  Federal judges invoke case law and the Constitution’s supremacy clause to forbid individual states from defending themselves against invaders who cross the international borders illegally to enter the United States, yet those same judges enjoin the Executive Branch from  providing that very defense against invaders.

I have yet to hear or see the President or any member of Congress of any partisan political stripe deliver a well-organized, articulate, complete, and understandable explanation of what “secure borders of the United States” are.  How do these officials define adequately secured borders?  More importantly, how will We, the People of the United States, know that our national borders have been adequately secured?  Why should we believe the proclamations and assurances of security from our national elected officials?

If our elected national officials believe that merely screaming loudly and frequently the words, “wall,” “technology,” and “Border Patrol Agents” are adequate to fulfill their duties to We, the People, to “… support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic …,” then those national officials are not fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of their respective offices.  Their failures to perform their official duties for which they were elected insult our intelligence and endanger the lives of the lawful citizens of the United States.

I have read President Trump’s Executive Order 13767, “Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements,” signed on January 25, 2017.  It only applies to the border between the United States and Mexico.

I have also read Vision and Strategy 2020 | US Customs and Border Protection Strategic Plan.

Read together, these two documents come closer to the definition of “secure borders” I seek.  However, there seems to be a completely partisan and politically-motivated disconnect in both the US Congress and the federal judiciary when it comes to executing any plan to secure our national borders.  All of them, not just the US – Mexico border.

And our national elected officials and federal judges wonder why We, the People of the United States, have begun to question their competence and commitment to  “… support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic …?”   Really?

  1. I do not believe the Democrats want any borders at all, anywhere. Their vision is a one world unification, where we all live happily ever after under their control. Hillary Clinton was supposed to make that big leap into that order and Obama was supposed to be the leader of the UN, effectively uniting us all under the guise and control of America as our new world President. Hillary would not have missed a beat if Republicans had protested like the Democrats did, she would have called the goon squad to shoot on a mere provocation of disorder while placing the fear of God in all of us, as she proceeded to squelch free speech, which was well underway with the last administration. President Trump ruined their dream of power and control and they are fighting mad. Gun running and the war machine would continue to rake in profits for those Democrats who are still against borders while they claimed to fight the world terrorists of ISIS and those they would manufacture in South America as they allowed the invasion of foreigners on our lands and render us without guns and no recourse, but to be the slaves and pawns of their world unity vision. They would have given us a cheap universal income so they could take all of our money to give to others as we decayed into another third world country without services promised as we all lined up for the new mandatory vaccinations manufactured by China. The previous administration was ready to throw us to the wolves and they set us back severely. Pelosi is bent on hell to carry out that vision by destroying the Presidency and she is doing a great job so far. The Democrats are nothing but a party of pure hate towards America and they are focused on our ruin. They do not want or respect the Constitution. President Trump has to build that wall or we are done.

  2. Stebbijo,

Candidate Trump, like most candidates, was between a dog and the fire hydrant. He grabbed onto a bumper sticker phrase, “Build the Wall.” I believe he fully intends to do that as part of the much larger effort required to secure the borders. Previous presidents, both Democrat and Republican, and previous Congressclowns have bloviated and promised to do that, but of course, they never had the political will to do it. That effort will require Congressional support to change the laws, because the laws pertaining to illegal aliens being allowed to remain in the US while their asylum claim is litigated is a Trojan horse that looks more like a Boeing 747.

    Here’s a not-so-outlandish hypothetical illustration:

Suppose that on September 11, 2019, nineteen Honduran or Guatemalan nationals successfully hijack three US-bound fully loaded passenger airliners a few minutes out from JFK and IAD or DCA. Suppose further that the Air Force scrambles fighter jets to cause them to divert or shoot them down. Now, suppose that this time, unlike on September 11, 2001, these hijackers announce themselves on the radio as friendly asylum seekers rather than as invaders. How much more of a time delay would their assertion of being friendly asylum seekers introduce into the decision-making response time to shoot them down? Would it be enough additional time to allow the deceptive hijackers to crash their hijacked aircraft into the US Capitol and Jeff Bezos’ dual Amazon HQ2s in Queens and Crystal City? Would any elected official with the authority really give the order to kill the innocent men, women, and children passengers by shooting down commercial aircraft hijacked by “young men who were just innocent victims of foreign oppression merely seeking a better life in the United States?”

  3. Absolutely, between a rock and a hard spot! I guess, we have set ourselves up for all of it. Democrats and CNN defend cartel leaders as experts regarding the efficiency of a wall. If El Chapo says it won’t work … well, then … we are supposed to take his word over the President’s. Hillary Clinton et al. really do count on the idiocy of the people and they have a flock of them following their cult of oppression and people I know, who have no clue and really believe the happy ever ever theme of socialism. I hope President Trump just builds the wall with his emergency powers as he has nothing to lose by doing it … and then, if all mayhem breaks loose, let’s just get it over-with and occupy Mexico as our own, so we get get them straight. Seriously, why not? We are already supporting them. It has to end. Southern California is already called North Mexico … by locals ect. That should give us a clue. I do not think anything will be solved until we are actually fighting in the streets and beating the tar out of each other at the border.

  4. Stebbijo,

Here’s a video clip from CBS Evening News. It illustrates fence issues. At about 1:35 into the clip, you see illegal aliens going over the wall using a ladder on the other side. The video “technology” captured the illegals entering, but the news clip doesn’t explain if any CBP agents apprehended them or if they simply fled into the interior of the US.

There could have been all kinds of sensors on and near all surfaces of the fence to detect the soon-to-be illegal aliens. There could have been video cameras on both sides of the fence and overhead looking down to verify the soon-to-be illegal aliens’ approach and breach of the wall. But if there weren’t CBP agents able to timely respond in sufficient numbers to take advantage of the extra response time the fence and technology had supposedly bought them, the illegal aliens have illegally entered the United States. Here they will receive food and shelter and medical attention, then after being caught but released on their solemn promise to the judge that of course they will appear for their hearing in a year or two, they disappear into the wind (otherwise known as the Sanctuary State of California) to avail themselves of welfare, education, housing, and the protection of the laws.

The next film shows the tunnel under the wall. According to the reporter, they were arrested. What reporter Mareiya Villarreal didn’t say was that upon entering illegally, they walked up to the two CBP agents and all demanded asylum.
