“Corruption on Steriods”

Filed under: Probable Cause — Tags: — Bill @ 3:05 pm

pile-of-cashOpenCdA has followed the criminal trials of several public officials in Bell, California.  Their actions have been accurately described as “Corruption on Steriods“.

However, the city of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, will soon be looking for a new police chief, and Bell’s former Chief Randy Adams sounds like he would fit in perfectly in our city.

It will take some creative accounting to match the salary Adams received in Bell, but we’re sure that Coeur d’Alene’s Mayor and City Council has the vision to find a way.

  1. Let us see…the City of Bell paid for weight loss camp for a councilman and hair plugs for the mayor? I keep thinking it couldn’t be much worse, and then it is much, much worse.

  2. Susie,

You look at that cast of clowns (the ones in Bell), and you just know there is going to be a reality television show come out of that.

  3. The old group will be gone in a month, how about we give the new group a chance to get sworn in before stirring the pot?

  4. Mike Teague,

It’s two months, and the old group can do a great deal of damage as very lame ducks. But it is only fair that with the election over, once the new mayor and council has been sworn in, they deserve a chance to do the job they were elected to do — represent all the people — not just the racketeers and profiteers.

  5. As I recall there was almost a hysterical push to get the NIC Event Center (e.g. basketball court)up and running out of ‘fear’ that a new council would be elected. I totally agree with Bill’s last post that there is concern about the lame ducks. I also absolutely agree that the new mayor and council deserve a chance to represent all of the people.
