The LCDC had a meeting last night about making themselves more open and accessible to the public. The meeting was held in the Old City Council Chambers and was not televised.

What a gorgeous Fall day! We just returned from almost three weeks in Hawaii– medical planning, packing and care-giving for my husband’s parents. Yes, the islands are beautiful and you can’t beat the ocean there for swimming, but it’s good to be home. Any comments, ideas or suggestions?
The LCDC will be holding a special meeting, this Monday at 6:00 PM in the Old City Council Chambers. It’s supposed to be for them to discuss how to implement the PR suggestions recently made. Public comments will be welcome. The event will not be televised.

This year, the citizens of Kootenai County paid their property taxes to support local government. City, County, NIC, Highway, and other taxing districts missed out on $3.5 million of that money. Where did it go? Why, to the LCDC of course!

I found something that may explain why the lefties here in Coeur d’Alene, those who support Barak Obama for President, are so apologetic of urban renewal abuse and the other questionable things that go on in the city. It all makes sense now!

Who is in charge at NIC? According to an article in today’s CDA Press, apparently the board is not making decisions. For something as vital to them as the Education Corridor, this seems strikingly odd.
