LCDC Public Relations Meeting

Filed under: General — Dan Gookin @ 8:30 am

The LCDC will be holding a special meeting, this Monday at 6:00 PM in the Old City Council Chambers. It’s supposed to be for them to discuss how to implement the PR suggestions recently made. Public comments will be welcome. The event will not be televised.

  1. “Public Comments will be welcome”? That’s great. I’m ready to go and will bring a list.

  2. I think that they anticipated that, Mary. It’s probably why the meeting is being held in the Old City Council Chambers, where there are no cameras.

  3. will they ban cameras? Are TV stations not allowed? how about citizen-journlists and their cameras?

  4. Maybe Mike Patrick will send a reporter to cover this event! One could only hope.

  5. I fear you are probably right, Dan…transparency is trumped yet again. Why would Stefanie Bales, the PR consultant, allow the meeting to be in a place without cameras rather than their usual meeting place where they broadcast on the public airways?

  6. Am I the only one who read Deanna Goodlanders comments in the LCDC article, page 2 of todays Press? I laughed so hard my coffee shot out of my ears. It seems, my fellow dummies, that Deanna has stated that the LCDC message must be made very very simple as most of what they do is too detailed for other than LCDC members to understand. They will also make their web site very simple for us, the great group of intellectually challenged. I laugh as I type this. I have always known this group suffered from an over abundance of hubris, but to actually say these things!! You can’t be offended, consider the source. Deanna Goodlander, oh my, oh my. Deanna dear, hubris and arrogance doesn’t equate to intelligence. If you haven’t read this article, run do not walk, and grab your paper. It will make your day!
