On the Brighter Side…

Filed under: General — Bill @ 12:55 pm
Remember the Iraqi newsman who threw two shoes at President Bush during a news conference in the Green Zone — and missed with both?  Apparently the Iraqis took him outside and beat the daylights out of him. But there’s good news.  Seattle Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik has offered him a five-year, multimillion dollar contract to pitch for the Mariners, reasoning the newsman came closer to throwing a strike than any of the Mariners’ pitching staff.

  1. Bill, I don’t think he’ll be pitching for the Mariners any time soon. The reporter/shoe hurler purportedly, broke his arm and received a gash on his head, from the butt of a gun. That’s what happens when you continue to struggle against the Iraqi police force.

This news reporter could receive at least two years in prison.Maybe, some singapore justice would be sufficient.

  2. kageman,

I don’t know … a three year, no-cut contract with the Mariners might be more severe punishment than Iraqi curbside justice.
