Laugh … Or Not

Filed under: Probable Cause — Tags: — Bill @ 3:28 pm

Okay, folks.  Let’s hear it for the Idaho Judicial Council. You know who they are, right?  You don’t?  Well, among their duties, one that stands out is “…to nominate to the Governor persons for appointments to vacancies in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and district courts. ”  Wow!  Pretty important stuff.

Except it appears that one of their own members forgot she had been convicted of a felony in federal court, at least according to this from the Idaho Statesman.  Just slipped her mind, and obviously no one else checked.

Nice work, guys and gals on the good ol’ IJC.  Next time, pay attention.

  1. Next time, pay attention.

I suggest a new Idaho state motto: “We do a much better job when the public isn’t paying attention.”

  2. Why should the state be any different than the city of CdA.

  4. concerned citizen,

Because quite often when an issue is raised here, the mopus erecti from the Democratic Peoples Republic of Boyzee like to dismiss our isses as “Oh, that’s a Coeur d’Alene problem.” Apparently they’re wrong about that, too.

  5. Well, this is quite a find, Bill. Not only do I know of the Kiebert family (lumber/construction family) and more than this article refers to – I just well, like I said, I have lived here in these parts of Idaho way too long. This is just too juicy and so Idaho. Darn it anyway, and she thought it was all expunged! I am serious, you most likely do not even know the worst of it, too damn ugly to post here. People’s memories can’t be that short, but I guess they are. I am glad Darrington caught this. I am surprised I did not catch it, I am slippin’ have not checked the IJC members lately, she stands out like a sore thumb. Sen.Shawn Keough (R) is also from Bonner County and is very active in transportation ITD, I am floored she did not catch it or Broadsword. Kermit Kiebert used to be the Idaho Transportation Director and at one time was a contender for Governor back in the early 90’s. What a mess. Does not surprise me that this got past our IJC and our Supreme Court Justice Burdick. Who would have thunk it? It just goes from bad to worse. This stinks like so many other scenarios in this state from one end to the other.

  6. I know what expunged means but how can you answer “no” to such a straight forward question.

“Have you ever been found found guilty of, pled guilty to, or received a withheld judgment for a felony violation of any federal or state law? If yes, please state the details and dates.”

    Any perjury there?

    The Statesman article was enlightening.

  7. Bill is right, it will be interesting to see if this goes anywhere. I wonder who tipped off Darrington? This is horrible, this woman steals from children and still maintains a decent job with appears to be with federal money and she works the system between husbands for financial gain with the ITD and the Health and Welfare. I am so sick and tired of paying the IRS my tax money so these criminals can slide off into another lucrative position with the help of their good buddies. Nothing happens to these guys because the judicial system is as corrupt as everyone else. I am so disgusted.

  8. Stebbijo,

It’s not likely to go anywhere, because even with decades of sweeping under, the Statehouse rug has as many lumps under it as the Kootenai County and Coeur d’Alene rugs do. Idaho’s swept-under rugs do seem to violate the laws of physics (not to mention statutes), because there always seems to be room for more garbage to be swept under them. Then again, it helps to have people who, by choice, do not mind lumpy rugs.

  9. Well, Popkey is coming out with more. Kermit Kiebert is the Enviromental Director of Idaho. His story goes into the charges against him that he also molested his daughter, he got off – he only showered with her. There is more, but I won’t go there. Idaho is a sewer and and they flush some of those sewer rats to Bonner County. Unbelievable. But,what a nice person she is, they say – kind of like that creep kiddie molester that made it to federal prison and half of Sandpoint, Idaho showed up in his defense.

  10. clairfication: Kermit Kiebert is “But Otter, who also appointed Kiebert’s husband, Kermit, to the Department of Environmental Quality Board, was mum.”
