Huh? Dang. I thought you were just downloading a ton of photos from the ‘grand commencement’ of the destruction of the park this morning.

No, if I had gone to this morning’s ceremonial commencement of the destruction of an important part of Coeur d’Alene’s history, paramedics would have needed both Lomotil and Phenergan.

The 9-9 Cda Press editorial pontificated on taxes…some districts did not raise taxes, and some kept taxes under the 3% max. In part the editorial said–
“Here was a…time to cut, not maintain…It’s difficult enough these days for most families to make ends meet…steps our nation must take-including reducing spending..at the local taxing level, decision makers must get better at figuring out their priorities and then sticking to them…local taxing entities did not make tougher decisions and actually reduce their reliance on property taxpayers. That would have done more than let taxpayers save their hard-earned dollars against even darker days; it would have sparked some of the goodwill that will be needed when Big Brother’s golden spigot gets turned down.”
What practical, timely and inspiring words!

And Wendy Gabriel proposed paying $65/hour for a job that involves social secretary duties for the mayor, press releases and doing something with facebook and twitter, etc.. (A written job description was unavailable prior to the budget hearing.) Need I add that I don’t agree?
