This morning’s skewspaper, the Coeur d’Alene Press, reported breathlessly that more dead deer had been found in Dalton Gardens. Never missing an opportunity to scarf up federal grant money, Kootenai County Sheriff Ben Wolfinger was reported to have fired off a grant request for disguises to enable his deputies to go undercover as whitetail deer. Here is the photo Crimefighter Ben supposedly submitted with the grant application showing one of his Lieutenants in disguise.
