CDA TV 19 Reminder

Filed under: Probable Cause — Bill @ 1:18 pm

reminder If you’re in the Coeur d’Alene area and get your cable TV from Time Warner Cable, remember that CDATV Channel 19 may now be on channel 16-2.

If you tune to Channel 19 and see the message headlined “Get your TV picture back,” you may not need to order the cable box as the message says.  Try running the “program channels” function on your digital television set, then tune to channel 16-2 (or 16.2).

  1. If by any chance you are still supporting an old C.R.T. you will need the “BOX”. it’s a bummer but I just hate to get rid of an old trusted friend that still works.

  2. I’m with you, Mike. I have too many glass TVs in my house. One of which I paid $1,800 for about 10 years ago. It’s hard to let go!

  3. The County Transfer Station on Ramsey takes CRTs and other electronics as recyclables. Even the charities won’t accept CRTs and other outdated electronics any longer. If the electronics are outdated and incompatible, the charities have to pay a commercial rate to dispose of them at the Transfer Station, at least that’s what we were told when we tried to give away some perfectly functional but old televisions. We took them to the Transfer Station and put them on the recycling pallets at no cost.

The Transfer Station will also take computers as recyclable. The only thing I did to prep a couple of old ones is to remove the hard drive, open them up, and remove the storage disc in the hard drive and destroy it separately.
