Open Session, Still Winter

Filed under: Open Session — mary @ 7:25 am

images1 Who to believe on the whole subject of climate change and its causes?    Are we warming or cooling?  Is it man-made or nature’s cycle?   Yesterday  I learned that the Cap and Trade system proposed to regulate carbon emissions will create a 2 TRILLION dollar industry…just in trading the rights to put carbon dioxide into the air.

Doesn’t Al Gore own a company that will “facilitate” these carbon trades?   Any other comments, ideas?

  2. I’m concerned that jobs will be killed by a cap and trade system imposed on industry. But don’t worry about Al Gore, he’s positioned himself to make a bundle off this global warming crisis.

  3. Here’s what British climate expert James Lovelock said about green technology and carbon trading:

“Most of the “green” stuff is verging on a gigantic scam. Carbon trading, with its huge government subsidies, is just what finance and industry wanted. It’s not going to do a damn thing about climate change, but it’ll make a lot of money for a lot of people…”

  4. Calling Cap and Trade a $2,000,000,000,000 industry is like calling welfare a $500,000,000,000 industry. Industry must create something, not trade in fiction. Witness the current banking crisis for an example.

  5. socialism is simply communism sold by the drink. the green party and the green agenda are only green on the outside, like the watermelon they are red inside. cap-n-trade is enron scams moved global. the scheme is evil and needs to be stopped.
