We Are Not Alone…

Filed under: Probable Cause — Bill @ 8:32 am

Sometimes we in Coeur d’Alene think that waste, abuse, and outright fraud in the use of public money only occurs in Coeur d’Alene and Kootenai County.

No, it’s an international problem.  Read this post by Tim Bousquet titled Public money, private players.  It appeared on “The Coast” – Halifax’s website.

Read Bousquet’s post and see if you can name Coeur d’Alene and Kootenai County’s equivalents of Halifax 2014.

  1. From the article:

And there would be no public accounting for any of that money. Secrecy ruled, from the start. What would a new Shannon Park stadium cost? They wouldn’t say. Where were they spending the money to woo international Commonwealth Games delegates? Top secret. What companies got the contracts to do what kind of work? None of our business.

That’s a hell of a way to run a democracy.

Smells like the Education Corridor, perhaps?
