The Hill’s John Solomon has just posted a detailed article headlined Nellie Ohr’s ‘Hi Honey’ emails to DOJ about Russia collusion should alarm us all.
Solomon’s article reveals that Nellie, working as a contractor for Fusion GPS, did “research” which she sent to her husband Bruce, the number 4 person at the US Department of Justice at the time. She also evidently sent the same information to Bruce’s colleagues.
The problem is that in testifying (or maybe “testilying”) before Congress, Nellie invoked marital privilege in declining to reveal the colleague communications.
It is likely that Congress will now send the New and Improved FBI a referral requesting it initiate an investigation into Nellie’s possible perjury in Congressional testimony.
Whoa, Nellie!

My question is why are stories like this being researched and reported by John Solomon at The Hill and Sara A. Carter and Catherine Herridge at Fox? Not that these people are second-tier reporters, but why isn’t this kind of reporting being spearheaded by Sulzberger’s and Slim’s Slimes at the New York Times and by Bezos Bozos at the Washington Post? Where are ABC News, NBC News, and CBS News? (Forget about CNN. It ceased to be a “news” medium a long, long time ago.) Those who say “Journalism is dead” are right, at least as it applies to the supposed “legitimate” electronic and print skews media.

A lot of them are improvising now rather than following the plan. They’re no better at improvisation than they are at journalism.
Some billboard journalists were no different than some Senior Executive Service-level federal employees in the run-up to the 2016 election. Both groups began jockeying for positions they hoped would assure them of “gets”: The journos wanted one-on-one prime time interviews and private face time with the President after inauguration, and the SES’ers wanted the choicest appointed positions under cabinet members and appointed agency heads. Their future financial enrichment depended more heavily on their access to el Jefe than on their job skills.
Remember this, because it is the foundational explanation about the very visible panic setting in now among many of the people in both groups as well as among the Swamp-Dwellers on the Hill: Hillary Clinton was going to be the first woman President of the United States. “Donald Trump? Don’t make me laugh,” they said. The future courses of many lives in many occupations, including Hill Swamp Dweller, were charted based on that certainty.
When that certainty vaporized, many of those people were as vulnerable as a Gulf of Mexico oil rig built on soda straws in the face of an approaching hurricane. That’s explains why the Fools on the Hill are going after AG Barr now. Hurricane Barr is about to make landfall.
The investigations that AG Barr and the New and Improved DoJ have already initiated are going to uncover the massive civil rights violations including the use of federal law enforcement and intelligence assets that Obama and his administration ordered and approved. The FISA abuses are only one category of the violations. If as expected the evidence already in the hands of the DoJ reveals that allied country intelligence and security services (e.g., GCHQ in the UK) were approved and used by ODNI Clapper, CIA Director Brennan, and FBI Director Comey to circumvent the US laws prohibiting their use against US citizens (e.g., Carter Page), those approvals would not have come without first being explicitly or implicitly (plausible deniability) approved by Obama personally.
Nearly all the easily recognized, national level skews media made conscious, institutional decisions to NOT pursue stories that if they had been properly done and reported could have prevented what may turn into the largest scandal ever in the United States. They were so certain that Hillary Clinton was going to win that they did not want to tarnish the presidency of the first woman President of the United States any more than they wanted to tarnish the presidency of the first Negro President of the United States.
All of this sickens me because it is almost certain that if Hillary Clinton had been elected, all of the abuses already known and those about to be revealed would have been buried. Worse, they would have become standard operating procedure for President Hillary Clinton.
The skews media’s whore-ifying dereliction of their duties is on the same level as the failures of the Fools on the Hill and the US Department of Justice to perform their oversight and enforcement duties. The signators to our US Constitution recognized the reporting by a “free press” was as essential to preserving our freedoms as any office of government. Our skews media betrayed our citizens’ trust just a surely as some in our government did.
We need a diligent, honest free press every bit as badly as we need equitably applied government oversight and enforcement of the laws. There needs to be a thorough housecleaning and fumigation among the media as much as there needs to be in the government.
