Threatening Protests

This was sent by one of our readers who is originally from the UK.  This news has not been covered by US media.  If some people thought our Tea Party protests were out of line, check this out:

“I was standing at a bus stop in Kensington, London minding my own business when suddenly I thought I was in the Middle East – 1979 – the chanting was DEATH TO AMERICA … and I realized the British govermnent was allowing these demonstrations to go on  – it was disheartening —by the grace of God I was able to come to America – take a look in 2009 how confident these guys are now . . . .

Where is the U.S. Media on this one?  I want to hear more about this if anyone knows anything about it . . . .

Makes you wonder doesn’t it…can you imagine having a Christian demonstration against Islam in downtown Baghdad ?

  1. Our CdA Tea Party had a huge variety of homemade signs, each different from the others. Look at these Islamic signs: They all have been made with the same materials and appear to be from the same hand. Check out the letter “E” in every sign: It slopes down on the top and up on the bottom. One person made them all, except the very top sign which was obviously printed from a machine.

aside from the fact that the american invasion of iraq has led to the virtual elimination of the christian faith in that country? another of gwb’s legacies.

  3. The Baghdad question was posed by our formerly UK reader. Do you think Christianity was allowed openly in Iraq under Saddam? I doubt it. Here’s a quote: “Dec 17, 2003 … “Verona (AsiaNews) – Now that tyranny is under lock and key, Iraqi Christians are now open with about their tales of suffering and persecution during the Saddam Hussein era. Christians under Saddam suffered persecution” … Tareq Aziz, Christian Vice President”.

  4. everyone under sadaam suffered persecution. since the war began it has gotten worse.
“A Catholic archbishop has issued a desperate warning about the persecution of embattled Christians amid Iraq’s worst sectarian violence since the US-led invasion in 2003.

Archbishop Louis Sako of Kirkuk warned that attacks on Christians by radical Islamic groups, previously localised in sectors of cities such as Baghdad and Mosul, had now spread across the country, even into areas previously considered a safe haven for Christians.

“In Iraq Christians are dying, the Church is disappearing under continued persecution, threats and violence carried out by extremists who are leaving us no choice: conversion or exile,” said the Chaldean archbishop.”

  5. It doesn’t take the proverbial rocket scientist to figure why the liberal left media is giving this story a pass.
