Gangster Government?

Filed under: General — mary @ 12:53 pm

Here’s the link to a You Tube Video that’s well worth 4 minutes.  It’s testimony from US Representative Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) speaking on the floor of the House.  She is outraged by the mafia-style deals being made by the Federal government and its 20 “Czars” that are akin to gangster deals pedaling influence for a select few.  She tells of actual car dealerships that are her constituents and shows how they have been treated.

Please watch this video and pass the info on to others.  This craziness must be stopped!     Here’s the link:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thR-lVuztIY

  1. Government by the few, for the few, paid for by the many.

  2. There is some irony in the sentence Bernie Madoff received today — 150 years, no chance of parole in the federal system. His deceit and dishonesty ruined countless hundreds of peoples’ lives.

The irony is that our members of Congress who negligently and recklessly voted for or against the cap and trade bill without reading it, without knowing and understanding what it really says, without knowing and understanding how it may financially affect future generations, may well have ruined the financial prospects of countless hundreds of people in this and the next generation and maybe beyond. Their penalty: They will probably get re-elected.

In that light, Madoff’s sentence seems harsh.

  3. After reading the book “NEW DEAL OR RAW DEAL” about the Great Depression, I am not surprised at the “GANGSTER GOVERNMENT” we now face. What does surprise me is how rapidly this is all happening. We can only hope that when things become intolerably oppressive, the American people will wake up and put an end to it.

  4. Congress has the power to stop it. All they need to do is insist that they and their staffs have time to read and understand every bill and every amendment before they vote on it. Congress needs to be reminded it is co-equal with the executive and judicial branches, not subservient to them. Congress needs to reject the President’s taking over the legislative role by appointing administrators (“czars”) who circumvent Congress and legislate by administrative regulation.

  5. If the speech by Rep. Michelle Bachmann, (R Minnesota) doesn’t result in a groundswell of outrage within the U. S Congress, it is most likely too late to save this nation. If I still lived in Waite Park, Minn. she would be my congressman. I wish the ones I have now were as informed and courageous. What say, Idaho congressionals? Where do you stand on this? What are you doing about it? Only you have the power to stop this destruction of our nation!

  6. Yes, Gary, and there’s even more evidence of this Gangster Gov. Gone Wild: G.E. now qualifies the Federal bailout money for banks, even though they’re not a bank, but they don’t have to comply with the regulations built into the bailout because, you guessed it…they are not a bank! They get the best of both worlds. And why might they get this type of royal treatment? Well, G.E. is the parent company of the Obama TV networks of NBC and MSNBC…Obama-orama 24/7.

Click here to read what the Washington Post had to say.

And here’s what the Washington Examiner reported last March about G.E. and it’s promotion of the Cap and Trade Tax:

Immelt (GE Pres.) wrote: “The interaction between government and business will change forever. In a reset economy, the government will be a regulator; and also an industry policy champion, a financier, and a key partner.” In short, GE plans to get rich by being one of the government’s closest partners — which it has always been, thanks to its unmatched lobbying efforts.
