City works for the People in PF

Filed under: General — mary @ 1:36 pm

City Logo Web In an unusual turn of events, the City Council of Post Falls reversed their previous decision to increase property taxes by 2%.  At last night’s meeting, citizens testified against any tax increase during these difficult economic times, and the City Council took their advice.  The Council voted to cut the budget further so as not to need any tax increase this year.  Good for them!  Bravo to the citizens of Post Falls for speaking up and telling the city what they believe.

Do you think other cities will follow suit?

  3. Best move Post Falls ever did for their economy. Those who are fed up with what use to be a great city in Coeur d’Alene, the heavy handiness, political games, and good old boys club of our so called leaders might just move to Post Falls. A City Counsel that listens to and works with its people how novel. Maybe Coeur d’Alene will get there in the next 10 to 20 years, anyone’s guess, but not with these incumbents.

    Spot on Post Falls!!!

  4. CdA could begin getting spending under control with new leadership. The voters now have a choice with Dan Gookin running against Goodlander. The choice is clear and the voters will get the government they choose.
