I read today that the LCDC will be busy casting votes for each other this afternoon. This “election” just emphasizes how powerless the people are. The LCDC is just an acronym for what they really are – “fianancial rapists.”
I have a seriously comprimised tibia – I am basically staying out of everyone’s way in order to avoid reinjury. But, I am there in spirit!

fianancial = financial
… or we could call them the PPP – Professional Pick Pockets.

This is funny to me, Stebbijo. LCDC isn’t an elected board, they are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city council. All they are doing with this vote, is an internal popularity contest to see who is the chairman and vice chair. Big deal.

Mary – it is all absolutely so NAZI!
Now, I want to know if there is any truth to the rumor that these guys have allotted over 60 thousand to cover their ‘after party?’

I believe the next Tea Parties should picket the CdA Press and the Spokesman Review. They do not fairly report the news, reveal a scandal involving our public officials, or admit to the shadow LCDC Government.
Tea Parties can be about local corruption and local media bias.

Tea Parties are / can / should be about honest, responsible government, at all levels, Citizen, and we have to keep standing for our rights. One of the biggest problems I see is the almost constant effort by our local officials to bypass the voters. When’s the last time we had a vote on any city or NIC issue?

Until pressure mounts like with the National Tea Party movement I do not see anything changing. In my humble opinion, only newly elected officials that are “right headed” can get things changed. If it were not for Mary’s editorials and blogs we would all be in the dark.
How amazing the main line press just found out today that there is an ACORN scandal! Sort of like the Spokeman Review not seeing an LCDC scandal standing in their face. Perhaps CdA need a couple of 20 year olds investing NIC and the establishment government.

The recent rally in DC was interesting on many levels. That there were “tens of thousands” of atendees is not in dispute, even by the liberals. Some of the signs were marvelous. My favorites: “Obama bin lyin”. A sign showing a picture of MLK and Obama read, “He had a dream, we got a nightmare”. And “Go green, recycle congress”. The creative mind is a wonderous thing.

The CDA Press just put up a poll,
asking people who they would vote for:Goodlander or Gookin.Earlier, they ran the Kennedy,Brannon poll and supposedly,Kennedy was winning comfortably but, interestingly enough,
Brannon won the poll on HBO a few weeks ago.So, I don’t know how accurate these polls can be.Anyway,go
vote on the CDA Press poll.

Hello my names chad, I’m here for some advice recently a friend and I went to a local establishment, when we entered all was normal check IDs and let us in, Or so we thought my friend was wearing a tank-top and was barred from entering the establishment, I thought about it for a second and I then went into the establishment and asked the a bartender if this was the case, In fact it was the case they would not let him in due to the tank top he was wearing. When I pointed out that several women in the establishment were wearing the same thing he said this rule only applied to men! The reason for this rule was to try not to have so many gang related men in the establishment. Is this GENDER DISCRIMINATION? and if so what if any step should be taken to fix this?

Welcome, Chad! In what town was that establishment? It certainly seems like discrimination to me, but I’m not a lawyer. Your friend should probably talk to the owner of the place directly or send him/her a letter. If they continue to stick to this policy, it might take a complaint to the authorities. Bill–would it be the police or who?

Chad,
That’s a new one on me. I’d say talk with the owner and try to work it out. If your friend really wants to try the place out, he could put on a shirt or other acceptable attire. He might decide it’s worth shedding the tank top in favor of … what? Ultimately your friend will have to decide if it’s a big enough deal to pursue it. If your friend finds an establishment’s dress code to be unacceptable, the simpler solution might simply be to patronize other similar establishments.
