Well, you can choose for yourself. My point is that there will be a Levy Presentation by Superintendent Harry Amend at the Mica Flats Grange this coming Monday, May 12, at 7:00 PM. Harry will speak for 20 minutes and then there will be a Q&A session.
The Mica Flats Grange is located south of Coeur d’Alene on 95 at the Kidd Island Bay exit (on the left as you drive south).
Thanks for the information. Actually the Grange is about 8 miles south of the Spokane River Bridge on Hwy. 95. You take a left onto Kidd Island Road and it is the white building on the S.E. corner. The Grange is known as a friendly place where people are comfortable communicating on issues.

The people at the Grange don’t mess around. They get right to the point; straight-forward, smart and practical.

If you look at the title box for OpenCdA.com, you see the words Honest information and Rational discussion. I hope that all who attend the presentation on May 12th learn enough to make an informed vote on May 20th. This levy is being supported by “Jobs Plus”, “Concerned Businesses of North Idaho” and the “Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce” no surprises there. This levy is being questioned by regular people who are finding it difficult to afford to live here. If you say that you are against the levy, you are branded as someone who hates children. Many people are saying nothing to avoid this erroneous characterization. Unfortunately, this levy isn’t about the children. It is about accountability of School District #271. Vote your conscience, but please vote. The last city elections were decided by a slim margin. The power brokers will be mobilizing their Funds and Forces to make sure this levy passses. Grassroots movements have only the power of the vote. My mind is made up on this one. Regular citizen, doubleseetripleeye will be voting “No” on May 20th.

You know as a chamber member, I really resent the fact that Mr. Coe claims that the chamber supports this levy. Does he mean chamber members or just the people that work for him? If it is the people that work for him, then I understand they will say they are for the levy as to not jepordize their position at the chamber. As for me, it is still a no.

The Grange is a place for straight talk. If you want a no nonsense place to ask questions about the levy come to Mica Flats Grange at 7:00 pm Monday night. Plug. Plug, Plug.
