The LCDC has sent out notices to people in Mid Town for a meeting about the development coming to their area. They have set the meeting for the evening of Tuesday, May 13th, the same time as the already announced Education Corridor Forum being held at the CdA Inn by concerned citizens. What do you think? Planned or coincidence?

Probably planned. Although considering how out of touch they are it could just be incompetence. I might also consider arrogance; but I don’t believe that term is approved by their new image consultant.

Regardless of intent, the business and homeowners should be forewarned of what they are going to get themselves into if they let LCDC in the door to do good things for them. I hope these unsuspecting folks are not so naive as to believe LCDC wants to spruce up their neighborhood so it will be more profitable to continue to sell tattoos, beer, used clothing, so called antiques, pawn items, used books old gas stations, pizza and mexican food, and so on. “COME TO MIDTOWN, THE DOWNSCALE LIFESTYLE WITH CLASS” Geeze, let me outta here!
