  2. What can one say? This cartoon says it all. Too bad I missed the free KoolAid. I was out of town all week. But I did make a presesntation at the first public unveiling of the ED Corridor at the budget hearing a couple of weeks ago and so got a sample of how NIC officials loaded the audience with supporters. Unfortunitely I was the only one to question the process, especially the use of forgone taxes.

  3. Did you notice Jess Weniger’s letter to the editor about foregone taxes? He points out that by using the public as their piggy bank, the state voids the a law about not accumulating unspent money. The problem is that if a property owner does not actually put money in the bank for all the taxing agencies’ “foregone” taxes, he may not be ready for the “rainy day” tax surprise. Seems to me this law need to be changed.

Love the Kool Aid cartoon! You have to laugh or you might cry.

  4. I love this cartoon! Apparently I need one of those foil hats, because those “pesky, probing questions” keep surfacing in my mind. And after last week’s forum at NIC, I have more questions than ever before.
