  1. If I was on the other side of all these various issues, I would jump ship just to enjoy to the max these awesome cartoons. Ah ridicule, the most effective way indeed!

  2. Yep! Classic local humor but in reality – the real deal.

  3. In a glance it exposes her obvious hypocrisy. We have very talented readers… Kudos Jimmy B!

And why is the Mayor of CdA driving the decisions of the Community College? Well, she is. At the NIC forum on the Ed. Corridor, NIC President Priscilla Bell stated outright that she, the president, is NOT involved with the negotiations on acquiring the mill site. It was obvious from the further discussion that Mayor Bloem is in the driver’s seat.

  4. Jimmy,

You gotta do a Sergeant Cupcake cartoon, ya just gotta!

  5. Ok, here’s the rule about names: NO NAMES, even if they’re “cute”. Unless they are true names of endearment for someone you like, NO NAMES PLEASE. Thank you.

Oh, and Jimmy B., your talents are terrific.

  6. I’m calling for a ‘Public Advisory
    Vote’,on Mary’s ruling about having
NO NAMES on cartoons.Only posters who comment here would be eligible.
    LOL.

  7. Kageman, how would you vote?

  8. I’ll vote NO on made-up names but,I would allow true names to be used whether we liked a specific person or not.Of course,it must be done tastefully.

Mary,I can’t help but note the irony
of your statement which,in part said:
Unless they are true names of endearment for someone you like, NO NAMES PLEASE.Then we can scroll up to the top of the blog and see a ST. Sandi cartoon which,IMO not very many people on opencda.com including
myself are very fond of the mayor. As
some people don’t consider her very likable right now.

Jimmy Barona, did a good job on the cartoon though.

  9. Allow me to swagger in here: any elected official in the US is subject to name calling. That millions have relished calling Bill Clinton and then George Bush both vile, disrespectful names sadly sets the tone.

  10. name calling makes rational discussion difficult.

  11. But, I like “cupcake”.

  12. Jimmy B. I love your work. I think the halo of St. Sandi depicted in the top panel is rightfully missing in the lower panel. Judas, the betrayer is usually depicted without a halo.
