Open Session, Monday

Filed under: Open Session — mary @ 10:32 am

I was amazed at Jon Mueller’s letter to the Editor in yesterday’s Press. He was obviously angry and wrote some things I’m sure he will regret. Jon’s connections with the City and the money he’s been granted by LCDC may have something to do with his frustration.

Jon Mueller is a landscape architect and works on many projects for the City and architect Mike Patano. Mike is the Lakes Middle School architect who was paid $818,000 of his fee before the Levy came up for a vote. Jon was the landscape architect for the Lakes plan as well.

Jon’s small building down on Sherman received a Grant from LCDC of $36,400 to pay for its new siding. His building is right next door to architect Mike Patano’s now infamous Sherman Lofts building with no windows in the sides, that was approved by LCDC for over $400,000 in tax benefits, including the cost of its fake brick siding.

You can read Jon’s letter here www.cdapress.com/articles/2008/06/30/editorials/letters/letter03.txt

  1. Well, at least he has the courage to come forward and admit that his ox is being gored. I don’t think he is stupid so it must be courage.

  2. Gary, “courage” is not the word I would choose.
