Cute Story…kind of

Filed under: Observations — mary @ 5:19 pm

Have you received your copy of the hospital’s magazine called “Kootenai Health”?  This quarter’s edition features an article called “A Reason to Dance”.  I love to dance and so does my husband, so I turned to that page and discovered a sweet story about an very mature couple who courted on the dance floor way back in 1938.  Now, at age 88, Loryane, the wife, has just had a total hip replacement surgery at KMC and is doing very well. But, as a couple, they are now able to go dancing again!

My thought, as I read this wonderful love story, was what would happen under the new OBAMA CARE regulations?  No way Loryane would get that expensive surgery at age 88. They would tell her she is too old to deserve that kind of investment, and others in the “system” deserve the “assets”.  Lorayne and her hubbie would just have to tough it out until she dies…probably sooner than later.

Are you looking forward to all the FABULOUS benefits of Health Care for ALL?

PS–Did I mention that the current head of KMC, Joe Morris, told the CdA Rotary Club, last year, that he believes totally in Universal Health Care?

  1. I’m looking forward to seeing how much Blue Cross is going to jack up my family rates next year. All this because a threadbare majority of Democrats jammed this bill through the House using very questionable methods. But I’ve got to add that I doubt any GOP majority next year will do anything to change the situation. It’s about control, and both parties want it.

  2. Of course Joe Morris “believes totally in Universal Health Care.” He also probably sings Kum-by-Yah in the evenings also.

  3. KMC head believes in universal health care…and isn’t “universal” a misnomer! And that is one (of many) reasons I will go elsewhere for my medical care.

Dan, why do you believe that a GOP majority will do nothing? The majority of Americns don’t want this fiasco. Changing the situation would be a positive for the GOP.

  4. Unless they get veto-overriding majorities in both houses, Obama would never sign a repeal. It’s here to stay, folks.

  5. Oh Dan, I didn’t think about the “viscious veto”. Ignorant veto actually, but that dowan’t alliterate as well.
