As we wait for the judge’s decision on the Election Challenge,  what’s on your mind?

The fabulous weather?    Political campaigns?    The future of McEuen Field?

  1. We must enjoy the “fabulous weather” because politicians will say ANYTHING during thier “Political campaigns” to get or hold their office and do we REALLY have a say in “the future of McEuen Field”?

  2. I am floored again. Idaho Freedom Foundation posted another URD article.

Evidently the URD in Twin Falls is investing in call centers – a private business. Almost $800,000 and another $11,000 to market it and over $200,000 to the players that did 6 months of some sort of service.

  3. Seems to be a big Pissen contest over at the Dingleberry blog. Seems as though there maybe be a rift amongst the locals. Sounds like the county government in spades. Just wait til the liberal donkeys get blindsided by their members of the tea party and leave the extreme left behind. They’ll be eating crow til 2012

  4. Judge Hosack, sure seems busy for a judge who is obstensibly retired. I guess the other judges don’t like to take cases that might cause a controversy and having them risk losing their judgeships, because of angry voters.

To me the only reasonable outcome to the Brannon suit is: to settle this case once and for all by making a judgement, calling for a new election
and having the Secretary of State’s office there to observe and verify the results.

  5. Anyone have any idea why this story didn’t make the cut at the CDA Press? Anyone?

  6. Dan,

I think we can rule out “high standards of journalism”.

Dan,Is it because of his last name?

  8. How sad. Tremendously sad for the child and a burden of guilt for the Mom, whether deserved or not. She needs to get away from that guy and never allow him in her life again.

But why in the heck would our local newspaper “of record” (does that mean anything?) hesitate to print this story? I am especially sad to think the reason might be that the man in jail has the same last name as a city councilman.

  9. The girl, Rebecca, called it off with the guy immediately after the doctors told her that the toddler has had previous broken bones.

If the paper suppressed this article because of a last name issue, then it roots back to local corruption, whether the elected official is involved or not. Omerta.

  10. Dan, I had to look up that word, “omerta”. That’s a good one. I like interesting words.

  12. Didn’t a certain city councilman’s brother work for the CDA Resort? And Hagadone owns the Press…

  13. I have heard this man in jail is a family member and there have been rumors in the past about other family members who were not arrested or charged when they supposedly broke the law.

  14. Why is everyone skirting the name? Wasn’t it written in the Spokesmen’s article?
We aren’t trying to be PC are we?
