NIC Community Relations VP Kent Propst is moving on. I’ve enjoyed chatting with Kent and discussing various aspects of NIC and Coeur d’Alene. I see him as a good man, but one who’s been put in a tight position recently with the Education Corridor.
I wish Kent the best with his new position.
Kent has always been polite and friendly to me, but I suspect he has been in quite a vice grip lately, having to ride the line with the Ed Corridor issues. He’s the person who “rewrote” my questions at the NIC forum on the Ed Corridor a couple months ago. I spoke to him in person about that and, while we were both nice to each other, it was clear to me that he was “doing his job” and I’m sure it was equally clear to him that I was not at all happy about the redirection of my questions.
Good for him to be stepping away from the fire. This Ed Corridor thing could get a lot worse before it gets better. I wish him all the best in Nebraska.
