Voter Fraud in Vegas?

Filed under: General — mary @ 11:45 am

Did you see the newest headline on the Drudge Report?:  ” I WENT TO VOTE AND HARRY REID’S NAME WAS ALREADY CHECKED!” It appears that more than a few folks in Nevada are complaining that when they’ve gone into their voting booths, the electronic touch screen they use to vote  is already checked for Harry Reid!

Of course the Election Officials claim there is “no fraud” and that the voters must “have faith in the system”.

Sound familiar?

  1. Here’s the detailed story from Las Vegas Fox 5 News.

According to Larry Lomax, Clark County Registrar of Voters (the Nevada equivalent of Dan English): “This election, I think, more than ever. The two sides are very fractured and each side is suspicious and we’re caught in the middle.”

No, Mr. Lomax, you’re not caught in the middle. You’re just caught.

  3. Actually, I do have faith in the system. It’s the people running and manipulating the system that make me a tad twitchy.

  5. FREE FOOD AND GIFT CARDS! Cleta Mitchell, the campaign attorney for Sharron Angle in Nevada is reporting this:

As Sharron Angle’s campaign attorney, I am sorry to report that the Democrats and their cronies are up to their same old tricks, of trying to manipulate the election in hopes of skewing the results in their favor.

Two days ago, the Democratic Secretary of State announced that voters can be provided “free food” at “voter turnout events.” Harry Reid has been offering free food and, according to other reports, some Democratic allies such as teachers’ unions are offering gift cards in return for a vote for Reid.

  6. “Faith in the system.” Hmm. Is that the same “system” that requires a mandatory absentee ballot request record to be kept by city and county clerks and open to public inspection for each election, but when that part of the “system” is ignored by city/county election officials (even though it is required under municipal election law as well as county election law) the “powers that be” determine that this specific record is not important and something else, totally unrelated, (which something else is, according to the city/county clerks, unreliable because it is a ‘living document’ that changes from day to day) materializes out of “thin air” to take its place? Hmm. “Twitchy”…I like that word.
