  1. I know that many people think harpists are stodgy snobs. To disprove that misconception, here is a picture of Leslie (wearing hat) and two other members of her All Harp Marching Band appearing in the 2009 Coeur d’Alene Independence Day Parade.

  3. Susie,

Thanks! The good news for everyone is that the harp is an acoustic instrument. There will be no amplifiers or drums or guitars, because none are needed. People will not have their eardrums assaulted and battered. As Leslie may demonstrate, the harp is capable of a wider range of sounds that what we expect. There are usually a few kids, mostly toddlers and up into grade school, at her concerts. Many of them are absolutely enthralled at what they hear. They are fascinated with both the instrument and its sounds.

  4. I hired a harp duo to play at my Christmas parties for my employees and customers in the past. It made for the best times ever.

  5. concerned citizen,

Thank you. I think one of the qualities that makes harp music so pleasant is that you can tune it in or tune it out, but either way, it isn’t obtrusive. Obviously at a concert you’d be listening, but at events where the music is background, you don’t have to shout over it. It is soothing (even when Leslie plays a jazz arrangement).
