County Payables Now Online!

Filed under: General — mary @ 2:00 pm

Here’s the latest Press Release from Cliff Hayes’ office:

Kootenai County’s payables are now posted on its website www.kcgov.us , under the Clerk’s division and the Auditor tab. “This project has been supported by all the County’s elected officials,” said County Clerk Cliff Hayes.  “Getting specific descriptions for each expense entered in plain language has been a team effort by numerous County employees who process invoices for payment.”  The most recent payables report is online now; new reports will be posted weekly.  Details about the May 17 elections of school district trustees and highway district commissioners are also available online.  Election day voters will need to go to their polling places; there’s a lookup feature on the County’s website to ensure voters know their precinct.  Absentee ballots started being mailed out on April 19.  In-person absentee voting at the Elections department begins April 25.  The last day to request absentee ballots by mail is May 11.  Voters can request absentee ballots online: http://www.kcgov.us/elections/AbsenteeBallotApplication.pdf

A voter’s residence determines which combination of school and highway district choices their ballot will contain.  Even with several uncontested races in the May 17 elections, there are 22 different ballot combinations, so sample ballots will not be posted online.  Voters with questions can call the Elections department at 446-1030.  “We’re happy to hear from citizens any time,” said Hayes.
