Photos From Today’s “Save McEuen Field” Event

Today was the day for folks to gather at McEuen Field, eat some hot dogs, and sign petitions to stop the City’s effort to change McEuen Field to McRuined Field.

Lots of people, lots of fun, and a beautiful day at McEuen Field.

Here are a few photos from the event.  There are no photos of the ballfields and boat launch being “underutilized” as the City claims, because they were all full of ballplayers, spectators, and boaters!

Does that boat need balloons to stay afloat?

No, I don't know the way to San Jose ...

Some of the folks fighting to Save McEuen Field.

Just a few of the folks who signed petitions.

Thank God! We can't see Seattle from here!

More people signing to Save McEuen Field!

Being a master hot dog chef is a gift -- just like McEuen Field!

Daddy, when I grow up, will McEuen Field be as pretty as it is today?

  1. A friend of mine found one of the original “just dream” ideas for McEuen Field. Wow! It’s amazing what you can do with $380,000,000 dollars!

  2. I posted this question over at HBO – looking for answers.

I have a question – hopefully someone can clarify.

I have read that the boat launch was given to the people through some sort of federal water rights access agreement to the people. How can the city take that away?
