Broken?

Filed under: Probable Cause — Bill @ 8:24 am
Has President Bush broken the FBI?

Has President Bush done what spies, organized crime, and corrupt public officials could not?  Has he so overburdened the FBI with counterterrorism that he has made it almost impossible for the organization to effectively fulfill its duty to investigate serious violations of federal criminal law?

In its article headlined Bush administration denies funding for FBI probe of mortgage mess the Seattle Post-Intelligencer seems to think so.

And after reading President Bush’s remarks yesterday  at the graduation ceremony for special agents from the FBI Academy, I’m beginning to think so, too.

  2. I think we can say he has strained their resources. The same exists for the military as well. Clinton dismantled these agencies during his administrations. Janet Reno gutted them.

  3. see
this is the story of a FBI failure from decades ago. Ayers and Dohrn and Davis and their brethern scum all teach at tax funded schools instead of eating tax payer meals at pelican bay.

  6. Nicely quoted, Casper. I heard a good quote yesterday that was very visual. It was from Winston Churchill and went something like this:

“Trying to tax a country into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket of water and lifting himself up by the handle.”

  7. Jeez: Mary i’m sitting in my office laughing my a$$ of and wondering how you come up with this. My personal feeling on almost all of the STUFF we have to think about is at least we still can open the [funny door]once in a while and feel good about having a voice. Seems like the handle is usually attached to Thomas Crapper’s invention you know what I mean. Thanks!!!

  8. Glad you liked it, Casper. I agree we need humor to relieve our tensions. We might need a lot of it in the near future.
