According to a Washington Post article today, Birmingham, AL, Mayor Larry Langford has been arrested by the FBI and charged in a 101-count federal indictment with conspiracy, bribery, fraud, money laundering and filing false tax returns. In her press release US Attorney Alice Martin characterized the behaviors of Langford and his alleged co-conspirators as “a classic pay-to-play scheme.” |
