On July 12, 2012, I received an email message from Steve Kenyon, Clerk of the Idaho Supreme Court, informing me that a definite date and place for the Idaho Supreme Court to hear oral arguments in the 2009 Coeur d’Alene election contest lawsuit appeal (Brannon v. City of Coeur d’Alene, et al, CV-09-10010) should be set within the next week or two.
Mr. Kenyon expressed his opinion that the Supreme Court will likely hear the arguments in either Coeur d’Alene or Moscow. According to the Supreme Court’s calendar online, it is scheduled to convene in Coeur d’Alene, Moscow, and Lewiston on September 19, 20, and 21 during its Fall/Winter 2012 term.
