Your comments reminded me of this Jimmy Barona Cartoon from a couple of years ago.  Today’s list of “Stakeholders” would be different, but the idea remains the same.  Let’s hope Thursday’s meeting about McEuen Field is not like this.   Who do you think the main Stakeholders are for the park project?

McEuen Field

The City has announced that it will have an Open House discussion about the plans for McEuen Field’s renovation at 6 p.m. Thursday in Lake Coeur d’Alene Room of North Idaho College Student Union Building.  I hear that the Tubbs Hill Foundation members will be there, en masse, to interject their concerns.  Why?  Because the plans for McEuen Field now include Tubb’s Hill too!

The current plan is to build a handicapped accessible (ADA) pathway on the McEuen side of Tubbs.  They are also talking about installing a Zip Line there too (!..not for the physically challenged I’m guessing?)  and a viewing tower at the top of Tubbs.  There’s also some indication they may want to make the West entry trail on Tubbs, near the Resort, into a wide, smooth ADA pathway as well.  Many of us thought they were just going to mess with McEuen.  Nope, it looks like they want to have their way with Tubbs at the same time.  What do you think of these ideas?  Will you go to the meeting?
