ED CORRIDOR FORUM…again!

Filed under: General — mary @ 11:07 am

Again the power players at NIC and the City held a public forum for the proposed “for sure” Ed Corridor and again the public was treated like an irritant to be endured.   (more…)

The City’s Pulse Newsletter

By Mary Souza,  September 12, 2008

Russell Riberich is a city councilman in Harrison. The 270 citizens of this quaint Idaho town are staring down the barrel of an enormous land use decision that could forever change their lifestyle, but Riberich sent every person a letter pushing them to hurry, hurry, hurry — a bit like an ambush. Obama and Urban Renewal

Filed under: General — Dan Gookin @ 9:18 am

I found something that may explain why the lefties here in Coeur d’Alene, those who support Barak Obama for President, are so apologetic of urban renewal abuse and the other questionable things that go on in the city. It all makes sense now!

Suckers!

Filed under: General — Dan Gookin @ 7:55 am

Apparently no one cares. Mic Armon, the tip of the spear that is the Education Corridor, the towering genius who said, “If you don’t like it, you can vote against me,” is running un-opposed for his position as NIC Trustee.

Congratulations Kootenai County taxpayers and students! As Jefferson said, you get the government you deserve.

Filed under: General — Dan Gookin @ 7:51 am

Richard Phennegar
Former US Senate candidate Richard Phenneger filed to run for NIC Trustee against Judy Meyer. In the CDA Press today, he cited massive conflicts of interest and hinted at ethics violations as the reason motivating him. Here is his press release (PDF file), which I believe you’ll find interesting.

As expected, Meyer and myopic NIC Trustee Chair Rolly Williams denied anything funny was going on. I’d write more about their silliness, arrogance, and utter disrespect for the public, but I’d be writing this post forever. So I’ll let you start.

More PR Money, Honey!

Filed under: General — mary @ 9:33 am

So first LCDC uses $30,000 of our tax money to buy public relations advice to try “improve” their image.  Now, after the report comes back with specific changes they should make, they don’t seem to be changing a thing.   (more…)

Not Unique in Idaho

Filed under: General — Dan Gookin @ 4:23 pm

Here’s a quote for you:

How does a multi-million dollar project get started without any financial documents or agreements? And why aren’t these financials out for the public to review? Short answer is corrupt government.

Nope, it’s not the LCDC, but it’s here in Idaho. Read the article. Apparently we don’t just have an “urban renewal” problem up north.
