Illegal Boarding Houses

Filed under: General — Dan Gookin @ 8:12 pm

I pulled this question from another thread. “Reddy” asked:

To Susie Snedaker – [At a recent City Council meeting] you asked (for the second time that I know of) about multiple tenants in residential housing and if there was proper zoning for it. The mayor promised you that she would have the attorney look at it and have him/her get back to you. You asked if it would happen within a few days and she replied yes. My question: Has anyone gotten back to you with an answer? Just curious; wondering if the promise was lived up to. Thanks very much.

Filed under: General — mary @ 10:30 am

Harry Amend, our CdA School Superintendent for one more month before he retires at the end of this school year, had a long session with folks at the Mica Flats Grange last night. He was there to promote the upcoming May 20th vote on the $31.1 million dollar school levy. Questions from the audience of about twenty five very interested people continued for nearly two hours. The LCDC and Your Property Taxes

Filed under: General — Dan Gookin @ 7:48 am

The article begins this way:

SD271 Levy: Be Converted!

Filed under: General — Dan Gookin @ 11:33 am

Well, you can choose for yourself. My point is that there will be a Levy Presentation by Superintendent Harry Amend at the Mica Flats Grange this coming Monday, May 12, at 7:00 PM. Harry will speak for 20 minutes and then there will be a Q&A session.

The Mica Flats Grange is located south of Coeur d’Alene on 95 at the Kidd Island Bay exit (on the left as you drive south).

School Quotes

Filed under: General — Dan Gookin @ 9:20 am

Is it really about the kids? Does our school district believe in education, or construction? When Harry Amend asked administrators what they wanted, did they list anything that had to do with kids or education? or did they create a wish list of things to buy, needed or not?

Enjoy some of the quotes from our culture’s greatest minds on the topic of education:
